Nursery Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead their well-established childcare facility in the heart of Leicester . This pivotal role involves overseeing the daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of childcare, and fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5. You will be responsible for managing a team of passionate educators, liaising with parents, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements, ensuring the nursery continues its tradition of excellence in early years education and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for all children.
• Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and learning activities in line with early years frameworks.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of nursery staff, conducting regular performance reviews and professional development planning.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with parents and guardians, facilitating effective communication regarding their child's progress and nursery activities.
• Ensure compliance with all Ofsted regulations, health and safety policies, and safeguarding procedures.
• Manage the nursery budget, including staffing costs, resources, and operational expenses, ensuring financial targets are met.

Requirements

• A recognized qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare, such as a Level 3 or above.
• Proven experience in a senior or management role within a nursery or early years setting.
• Thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and relevant legislation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff, budgets, and operational logistics effectively.
• Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
