About the Role
Our client, a prestigious childcare provider in Leicester , is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead their vibrant early years setting. This is a crucial role responsible for the overall management and operational success of the nursery, ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare and education. You will be instrumental in fostering a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5, whilst leading and motivating a team of passionate childcare professionals. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on children's early development and shape the future of the nursery within the local Leicestershire community.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning programs in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Manage, support, and develop a team of childcare practitioners, conducting performance reviews and identifying training needs.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and safeguarding for all children and staff.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians, fostering strong home-school partnerships.
- Manage budgets, resources, and nursery admissions effectively to ensure financial sustainability and high occupancy.
Requirements
- Level 3 or above qualification in Childcare (e.g., NVQ, CACHE).
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior childcare role, with proven management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of child development and early years education best practices.
- Ability to manage budgets and administrative tasks efficiently.
