Nursery Nurse - Full-Time

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse to join their vibrant team in Sunderland . You will be responsible for providing a high standard of care and education to children aged 0-5 years. This is a hands-on role where you will engage with children, plan stimulating activities, and support their overall development in a safe and nurturing environment. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about early years education and committed to creating a positive learning experience for every child, working directly within the nursery setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a varied curriculum of activities to meet the developmental needs of each child.
• Supervise and engage children in play, learning, and daily routines.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all children.
• Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues.
• Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health & safety.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff members.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or an Early Years Education equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for early childhood education and a genuine desire to support children's learning.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a Sunderland -based nursery.
