About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and caring Nursery Nurse to join their dedicated team in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to young children, implementing stimulating activities that support their development across all learning areas. This role requires a professional with a passion for early years, who can contribute to a positive and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5. Working within a well-regarded childcare setting in Portsmouth , you will play an essential part in the daily lives and learning journeys of the children entrusted to their care.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences that align with the EYFS framework.
• Provide a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for children's holistic development.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, maintaining accurate learning journals.
• Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with parents and guardians, sharing insights into their child's development.
• Adhere to all nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery day.

Requirements

• A recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Early Years Education.
• Previous experience working as a Nursery Nurse or similar role.
• Thorough understanding of the EYFS framework and child protection policies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their early learning.
