Nursery Nurse

About the Role

Our client is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse to join their dedicated team in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for providing exceptional care and education to children aged 0-5, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that promotes learning and development. This role requires a professional who is passionate about early years, knowledgeable about the EYFS framework , and committed to building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. You will play a key part in supporting children's early educational journeys and contributing to the overall success of the nursery.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Conduct regular observations and assessments of children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for development.
• Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, health, and safety are maintained at all times within the nursery.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and physical development through play.
• Collaborate effectively with parents and guardians, sharing information about their child's progress and involving them in their learning journey.

Requirements

• A recognised Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare, such as a NNEB, NVQ, or CACHE Diploma.
• Previous experience working as a Nursery Nurse or in a similar early years role.
• A strong understanding of child protection legislation and the EYFS framework .
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for childcare and a commitment to continuous professional development.
