Nursery Nurse

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse to join their dedicated team at a well-established childcare setting in Sunderland . In this role, you will be responsible for providing a high standard of care and education to children within a specific age group, fostering their development through engaging and creative activities. You will work closely with other practitioners to ensure a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment, and maintain strong communication channels with parents. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality early years education and care in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Plan and lead a variety of stimulating activities to support children's learning and development.
• Observe, monitor, and record children's progress, identifying any developmental needs or concerns.
• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children in your care, adhering to strict safeguarding and hygiene protocols.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and building positive relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and effective learning environment within the nursery in Sunderland .

Requirements

• NVQ/CACHE Level 3 or equivalent in relevant childcare qualification.
• Experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
• A thorough understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and health and safety legislation.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and its practical application.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
• A proactive and caring attitude towards children and their families.
