Nursery Practitioner (Level 3)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and motivated Nursery Practitioner (Level 3) to join their dedicated team in Portsmouth . You will play a key role in providing excellent care and education to children within the nursery setting, contributing to their early development and learning journey. This role involves direct interaction with children, planning engaging activities, and working collaboratively with colleagues and parents to ensure a stimulating and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality educational and play-based activities for children aged 0-5, aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Observe and assess children's development, maintaining accurate records and reports.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children, adhering to strict safeguarding policies.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and guardians, fostering strong communication.
• Support the overall running of the nursery, contributing to a positive team environment.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.

Requirements

• Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Nursery Practitioner or in a similar early years role.
• A thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) .
• Excellent knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
• Strong communication, observation, and planning skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
