About the Role
Our client, a family-friendly nursery in Southampton , is looking for a passionate and qualified Nursery Practitioner (Level 3) to join their dedicated team. You will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5, contributing to their early development through engaging activities and a nurturing approach. This role offers a blend of hands-on childcare and opportunities for some administrative or planning tasks, with the potential for hybrid flexibility. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care and education to a designated group of children, following the EYFS framework.
- Plan and implement stimulating and age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Observe, record, and report on children's progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating with parents.
- Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all children, adhering to nursery policies and procedures.
- Support the smooth running of the nursery on a daily basis, contributing to a positive team atmosphere.
- Assist with implementing nursery policies and procedures, with potential for remote involvement in documentation or planning.
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
- A strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
