Nursery Practitioner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly and well-established childcare setting in Birmingham . Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and educational play-based activities that support children's learning and development across all seven EYFS areas.
• Conduct regular observations and assessments, maintaining accurate records of each child's progress and development.
• Ensure a high standard of health, safety, and hygiene is maintained within the nursery environment, implementing all policies and procedures effectively.
• Support children's emotional well-being, helping them to develop social skills, confidence, and independence.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians, fostering strong partnerships to support children's learning at home and in the setting.
• Prepare and tidy play areas, ensuring resources are organised and stimulating for children's exploration and learning.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar nursery practitioner role.
• A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding principles.
• Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
