Nursery Room Leader - Toddler Focus

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the toddler room.
• Plan, implement, and assess a play-based curriculum that meets the needs of all children.
• Supervise and mentor junior nursery staff within the room.
• Ensure the room is a safe, stimulating, and hygienic environment.
• Build and maintain positive partnerships with parents and carers.
• Adhere to all nursery policies and regulatory requirements in Portsmouth .

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or higher in Childcare and Education .
• Proven experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner in an early years setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Paediatric First Aid certification is essential.
