Job Description
I am looking for a Occupational Health Technicians, who will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high-quality occupational health services. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of health surveillance assessments, administering health and well-being initiatives, and contributing to the smooth operation of my client's occupational health programs. I have vacancies for Occupational Health Technicians to work in Plymouth, some are for days and other positions are for nights. I also have a Mobile Occupational Health Technician role for someone in the general Plymouth area, who will drive to various locations. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct health surveillance, including audiometry, spirometry, vision screening, and health questionnaires.
- Assist in the delivery of health promotion and education programs.
- Support the Occupational Health Nurses and Physicians in the provision of a comprehensive occupational health service.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all medical interventions.
- Ensure that all equipment is well-maintained, calibrated, and properly stored.
- Stay up-to-date with current best practices This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident individual to work alongside a multidisciplinary occupational health team on-site at the busy dockyard in Devonport, Plymouth. You will be self-motivated and have a proactive approach to your role, prioritising and managing your own workload. There is no recognised professional qualification for this role however, suitable backgrounds include: Health Care Assistant; Fitness Instructor; Ambulance EMT; Military Medic; Offshore Medic, etc. Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm and 7.30am to 2.45pm on Friday.
