About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly capable and proactive Office Manager to oversee the administrative operations of their office in Reading . This role is central to ensuring the efficiency and functionality of the workplace, involving a broad range of responsibilities from facilities management to team support. You will be responsible for maintaining a positive and productive office environment, managing vendor relationships, implementing office policies, and providing administrative leadership. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring a smooth and efficient working environment.
- Oversee facilities management, including maintenance, repairs, and office security.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor contracts.
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures.
- Provide support to staff, addressing queries and resolving issues related to office operations.
- Organise company events and meetings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a senior administrative role with management responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of office operations, facilities management, and HR administrative processes.
- Excellent organisational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with office management software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships.
- Ability to lead and motivate a small administrative team.
