About the Role
Our client is recruiting a highly capable Offshore Installation Engineer to manage and oversee complex construction and installation projects at sea, based out of Portsmouth , Hampshire. This challenging role requires expertise in planning, coordinating, and executing the installation of offshore structures and equipment for the oil and gas industry . You will be responsible for ensuring all operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and regulatory standards. This is a critical leadership position for an engineer with proven offshore experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed offshore installation plans , including method statements, risk assessments, and execution schedules.
- Manage and coordinate offshore construction activities, including heavy lifts, subsea operations, and module installations.
- Supervise offshore crews and contractors, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and quality standards.
- Liaise with project managers, engineering teams, and marine operations to ensure seamless project execution.
- Oversee the mobilization and demobilization of vessels, equipment, and personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all maritime regulations, environmental protection measures, and company HSE policies.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Naval Architecture) or equivalent industry experience.
- Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in offshore construction and installation engineering.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale offshore projects for the oil and gas sector .
- Strong knowledge of marine operations, heavy lifting, and subsea installation techniques.
- Experience with offshore vessels, platforms, pipelines, and related infrastructure.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
