Offshore Installation Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and decisive Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) to oversee operations on one of their key offshore platforms located in the North Sea, managed from their Edinburgh base. This is a leadership role demanding exceptional operational acumen, a steadfast commitment to safety, and the ability to manage complex logistical and personnel challenges in a remote, high-stakes environment. The OIM is responsible for the overall safety, integrity, and efficient production of the installation, ensuring all activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role involves significant periods offshore and requires strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management for all offshore operations, ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and production targets are met.
• Develop and implement offshore operational plans and emergency response procedures.
• Manage and mentor the offshore workforce, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
• Ensure the integrity and maintenance of all platform systems and equipment through effective planning and execution.
• Oversee all logistics, including personnel transfers, supply chain management, and contractor activities.
• Act as the primary point of contact with onshore management, regulatory bodies, and emergency services.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in offshore oil and gas operations, with a proven track record in leadership roles such as OIM or Installation Manager.
• Strong understanding of offshore safety regulations, HSE management systems, and emergency response protocols.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in managing diverse teams and complex operational challenges.
• Relevant certifications such as OPITO approved OIM course or equivalent.
• Ability to manage demanding schedules and work effectively under pressure offshore.
