About the Role

Our client, a major player in the offshore wind industry, is seeking a skilled Offshore Wind Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh . This exciting role involves contributing to the design, development, and operational integrity of large-scale offshore wind farms that are crucial for Scotland's renewable energy strategy. Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the structural design and analysis of offshore wind turbines and foundations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant international standards , codes, and regulations for offshore structures.
• Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of offshore construction and installation activities.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for offshore operations.
• Collaborate with marine warranty surveyors, fabricators, and installation contractors.
• Provide technical support during the operation and maintenance phases of offshore wind farms.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Marine Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the offshore wind industry or a closely related field (e.g., oil & gas offshore structures).
• Solid understanding of structural analysis , fatigue, and hydrodynamics relevant to offshore structures.
• Familiarity with design software such as ANSYS, SACS, or similar analysis tools.
• Knowledge of offshore construction methods and project management principles.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to work effectively in a project environment.
