Offshore Wind Farm Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and skilled Offshore Wind Farm Technician to join their rapidly expanding renewable energy division. This is a remote position, allowing you to contribute to critical operations from the comfort of your home, with travel to sites as required for specific projects. You will be instrumental in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of offshore wind turbines, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role demands a practical, hands-on approach, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team, contributing to the clean energy transition from a secure, remote base.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on offshore wind turbine components , including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Ensure all work is carried out in strict accordance with company safety procedures and industry best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, performance data, and spare parts inventory.
• Collaborate with site managers and engineering teams to report on turbine performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new turbine equipment as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a technician in the wind energy sector , preferably with offshore experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and testing equipment relevant to wind turbines.
• Certification in working at heights and GWO Basic Safety Training (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance.
