Offshore Wind Farm Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Offshore Wind Farm Technician to join their operational team supporting sites near Glasgow . This hands-on role involves performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on offshore wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and safety. Working at sea presents unique challenges, requiring resilience, teamwork, and a commitment to the highest safety standards. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled maintenance, inspections, and servicing of offshore wind turbines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in turbine systems.
• Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment to identify potential issues.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency call-outs as needed.

Requirements

• HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Wind Turbine Engineering.
• Proven experience as a wind turbine technician, preferably in an offshore environment.
• Strong understanding of wind turbine technology , including mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to work at heights and in challenging marine conditions.
• Valid GWO (Global Wind Organisation) certifications are essential.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
