Offshore Wind Turbine Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Offshore Wind Turbine Technician to join their growing team based in Coventry . You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of wind turbines, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. This role involves working offshore, requiring a commitment to working in challenging weather conditions and a highly collaborative team environment. You will be instrumental in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of renewable energy generation, contributing directly to the UK's green energy targets, working within a company that prioritizes safety and career progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on wind turbine components, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Collaborate with the site operations team to manage work schedules and spare parts inventory.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed.
• Participate in emergency response drills and assist in resolving unforeseen technical issues.

Requirements

• Completed apprenticeship or vocational training in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Wind Turbine Technician or in a similar field (e.g., industrial maintenance, heavy machinery repair).
• Experience working with high-voltage systems and complex machinery.
• Certification for working at heights and GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) are essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently, with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Good physical condition and ability to work in demanding environmental conditions.
