About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Offshore Wind Turbine Technician to join their critical operations team in Belfast . This role is essential for maintaining and servicing state-of-the-art wind turbines situated offshore, ensuring optimal energy generation and operational reliability. You will be working in a challenging yet rewarding environment, contributing directly to the UK's renewable energy infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated team to keep vital renewable energy assets running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on offshore wind turbines .
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with turbine systems.
• Utilize specialized tools and equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including working at height and in challenging weather conditions.
• Document all maintenance activities, findings, and actions taken in the asset management system.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to turbine faults as required.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical discipline).
• GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) certification is mandatory.
• Proven experience as a wind turbine technician, preferably with exposure to offshore environments .
• Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently, often in remote offshore locations.
• Valid GWO Working at Heights, Sea Survival, and First Aid certifications are essential.
