About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Offshore Wind Turbine Technician to join their remote team, supporting operations that will include sites accessible from Belfast . In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of offshore wind turbines, ensuring maximum operational efficiency and uptime. You will work within a dedicated team of technicians, leveraging advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine scheduled maintenance, inspections, and lubrication of wind turbine components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on turbines.
• Carry out repairs and replacements of components, adhering to strict safety procedures.
• Utilise diagnostic equipment and SCADA systems to monitor turbine performance and identify potential issues.
• Document all maintenance activities, findings, and resolutions accurately in the maintenance management system.
• Participate in emergency response and repair activities as required.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, especially those pertaining to offshore work.

Requirements

• Recognised technical qualification (e.g., NVQ, HND) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience as a wind turbine technician, preferably with exposure to offshore environments .
• GWO Basic Safety Training certification (Working at Heights, Sea Survival, First Aid, Fire Awareness).
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in challenging conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety excellence.
• Valid driving license and ability to travel as needed to site locations.
