About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Offshore Wind Turbine Technician to join their operational team in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of wind turbines, ensuring maximum operational efficiency and safety offshore. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, the ability to work at height in challenging conditions, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of work within the renewable energy sector . You will be an integral part of a dedicated team working to harness clean energy from offshore wind farms, contributing directly to the UK's green energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on offshore wind turbines according to established schedules.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in turbine systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and safety checks of turbine components and structures.
• Utilise diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental procedures while working offshore.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure efficient turbine operation and minimise downtime in the energy sector .

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Wind Turbine Technology.
• Proven experience (2+ years) as a Wind Turbine Technician , preferably offshore.
• Experience working with high voltage systems and complex mechanical components.
• Ability to work at heights and in challenging offshore environments.
• Valid GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) certificate is essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
