About the Role

Our client is recruiting for an enthusiastic Offshore Wind Turbine Technician to join their operational team in Plymouth, Devon . This hands-on role is vital for the maintenance and repair of offshore wind turbines, ensuring maximum energy generation and operational efficiency. You will work in a challenging but rewarding environment, contributing directly to the growth of renewable energy in the UK. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to safety in the dynamic offshore Energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on offshore wind turbines.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure optimal turbine performance.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and protocols for offshore operations.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

• HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven experience as a technician, preferably within the wind energy or related industrial sector.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with excellent diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work at heights and in challenging offshore environments.
• Valid GWO training certifications (or willingness to obtain them).
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
