About the Role

Our client requires a skilled and safety-conscious Offshore Wind Turbine Technician to join their dedicated operations and maintenance team, supporting vital renewable energy assets near Glasgow . This hands-on role involves performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs on wind turbines situated offshore. You will be an essential part of ensuring the continued generation of clean, sustainable energy, working in a physically demanding environment that requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to stringent safety protocols within the energy sector .

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled inspections, maintenance, and repairs on offshore wind turbines and associated equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on turbine systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal turbine performance and longevity.
• Respond to turbine faults and breakdowns, implementing timely and effective repairs.
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and site-specific procedures.
• Document all maintenance activities, findings, and parts used in the asset management system.

Requirements

• Completed apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical field (e.g., mechanical, electrical engineering).
• Proven experience working with wind turbines, preferably offshore.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
• Certification for working at heights and GWO basic safety training are essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently in challenging offshore conditions.
• Good physical fitness and willingness to work at height and in variable weather conditions.
