About the Role

Our client is seeking dedicated and physically fit Offshore Wind Turbine Technicians to join their vital team operating from Glasgow, Scotland , servicing offshore wind farms. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of wind turbines, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of these critical renewable energy assets. You will work offshore in challenging conditions, adhering to strict safety protocols. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical or electrical aptitude and a commitment to a career in the rapidly growing offshore wind sector, contributing directly to a sustainable energy future.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on wind turbine systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshooting to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Execute corrective maintenance and repair activities on turbines, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Perform pre-assembly and post-assembly inspections, documenting findings accurately.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines, especially in an offshore environment.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new wind turbine components and systems.

Requirements

• Recognised technical qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a maintenance or technical role, ideally within the wind energy or heavy industrial sector.
• Ability to work at heights and in demanding offshore conditions, passing relevant medical and fitness assessments.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, hydraulics, and control systems.
• Excellent teamwork skills and a proactive approach to safety and problem-solving.
• Willingness to work a rotational shift pattern, including offshore deployments.
