Offshore Wind Turbine Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and technically adept Offshore Wind Turbine Technician to join their vital operations team based near Belfast . You will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of offshore wind turbines, ensuring maximum uptime and energy generation. This hands-on role requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a challenging marine environment. You will work as part of a skilled team contributing to the UK's growing renewable energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on offshore wind turbines.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, implementing effective solutions.
• Ensure all work is carried out in strict accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Operate and maintain specialized tools, equipment, and vehicles used in turbine maintenance.
• Accurately document all maintenance activities, findings, and component replacements in the asset management system.
• Respond to turbine alarms and initiate necessary actions to resolve operational issues promptly.

Requirements

• Recognised technical qualification (e.g., HNC/HND) in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering discipline.
• Previous experience working with large rotating machinery or in a similar industrial maintenance role.
• GWO Basic Safety Training certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work at heights and in challenging offshore environments, including GWO Working at Heights certification.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to a safety-first culture.
