Offshore Wind Turbine Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Offshore Wind Turbine Technician to join their operational team in Edinburgh . This is a hands-on role focused on the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of offshore wind turbines, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency of renewable energy assets. You will work as part of a dedicated team, often in challenging offshore environments, adhering to strict safety protocols. This position is vital to the ongoing success and expansion of the company's renewable energy portfolio, contributing directly to the generation of clean power.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine scheduled maintenance and inspections on offshore wind turbines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in turbine systems.
• Respond to turbine fault alarms and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Conduct pre- and post-maintenance inspections and prepare detailed service reports.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new wind turbine components.

Requirements

• Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or wind turbine technology.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with wind turbines, preferably offshore.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work at heights and in challenging offshore conditions.
• Valid GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) certification.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety.
