About the Role
Our client requires a diligent On-Site Installation & Maintenance Technician for their operations in Portsmouth . This field-based role is essential for delivering high-quality installation services and ensuring the ongoing functionality of equipment at customer locations throughout Hampshire . You will be responsible for the complete installation process, routine maintenance, and prompt troubleshooting of technical issues. This position offers a dynamic work experience for a hands-on individual who is adept at problem-solving and committed to providing excellent service to our client's diverse customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, and commission new equipment according to technical specifications and safety standards.
- Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability.
- Identify, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
- Maintain accurate service logs and complete all necessary documentation for each job.
- Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures on site.
- Provide basic operational guidance to customers upon completion of installations or repairs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an installation or maintenance technician role is required.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and potentially electronic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Good manual dexterity and proficiency with various tools.
- A full UK driving license and a willingness to travel within the Portsmouth and surrounding areas.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
