Online Course Facilitator (Languages)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Online Course Facilitator to support language learners in Edinburgh . This part-time role focuses on guiding students through online language modules, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment. You will be responsible for facilitating discussions, providing feedback on assignments, and answering student queries to ensure a positive learning experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about language education and comfortable with digital teaching tools, offering a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate online discussion forums and interactive activities for language courses.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback on student assignments, quizzes, and projects.
• Respond promptly to student inquiries regarding course content, technical issues, and administrative matters.
• Monitor student engagement and progress, proactively reaching out to those who may be struggling.
• Assist in the development and updating of online course materials under the guidance of the curriculum team.
• Contribute to creating a welcoming and encouraging online learning community for language students.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Modern Languages, or a related field.
• Previous experience in teaching or tutoring, preferably in an online or blended setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, plus proficiency in at least one other language.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and online collaboration tools.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
