About the Role

Our client is seeking an engaging and qualified Online English Language Tutor to provide remote English language instruction to a diverse range of learners, supporting students globally but based initially near Reading . This role involves conducting interactive online lessons focused on improving English proficiency for academic, professional, or personal development. You will adapt your teaching methods to suit various learner levels and objectives, fostering fluency, accuracy, and confidence in using the English language. This position offers considerable flexibility and the chance to contribute to individuals' communication skills from the comfort of your home.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver dynamic online English language lessons, covering grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation skills.
• Develop customised learning plans and materials based on students' specific language learning goals and proficiency levels.
• Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate improvement.
• Create an encouraging and interactive online learning atmosphere that promotes active participation and engagement.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with students and administrative staff regarding lesson scheduling and progress reports.

Requirements

• A degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
• TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in teaching English as a second language (ESL) or foreign language (EFL), preferably online.
• Excellent command of the English language, with strong pronunciation and grammar skills.
• Proficiency in using video conferencing software and online learning management systems.
