About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic Operations Director to lead their central hub operations in Nottingham . This vital role involves overseeing a broad range of operational functions, driving efficiency, and ensuring the successful implementation of company-wide strategies across the Midlands. You will lead a team of operational managers and staff, manage significant budgets, and play a key role in shaping the future operational landscape of the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced director to take charge of a crucial operational centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive operational strategies for the Nottingham hub and surrounding areas.
- Manage and optimize all core operational processes, including logistics, supply chain, and service delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of operational managers and staff.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
- Oversee the financial performance of the hub, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
- Ensure strict adherence to all company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Operations Director or in a similar senior leadership role, preferably in a hub or multi-site environment.
- Demonstrated success in strategic operational planning and execution.
- Exceptional leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing large budgets and P&Ls.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
