About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Operations Director to oversee and optimize all operational functions within their FMCG business based in Belfast . This senior leadership role is crucial for driving operational excellence, ensuring efficiency, and managing growth across manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in operational leadership, a deep understanding of the FMCG landscape, and the ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve ambitious targets. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic operational plans aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and quality control, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
• Manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and achievement of financial targets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of operational managers and staff, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (8+ years) in a senior operational leadership role, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Proven ability to manage complex operations, implement change, and drive significant improvements in efficiency and cost reduction.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and logistics.
• Excellent strategic planning, leadership, and people management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field; relevant professional qualifications are highly desirable.
