Operations Efficiency Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an analytical and results-oriented Operations Efficiency Engineer to join their team in Bristol . This role is dedicated to enhancing the performance and productivity of operational processes through the application of industrial engineering methodologies. You will be responsible for identifying inefficiencies, designing improvement strategies, and implementing solutions that lead to significant cost savings and operational excellence. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a proven ability to drive change within an operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive analyses of operational workflows to identify bottlenecks, waste, and areas for efficiency gains.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement techniques.
• Design and optimize facility layouts, material flow, and workstation designs to improve productivity and ergonomics.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics and dashboards to track operational efficiency and progress.
• Collaborate with operational teams and management to ensure successful implementation and adoption of new processes and technologies.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings, recommendations, and project outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in operations engineering, process improvement, or industrial engineering.
• Proven experience with Lean manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen).
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical software and data analysis techniques.
• Experience with project management and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
