About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-oriented Operations Engineer to drive Process Improvement initiatives within their facilities in Bristol . This role is critical for enhancing overall operational efficiency, productivity, and quality across manufacturing and supply chain functions. You will be responsible for analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for optimization, and implementing effective solutions using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Working in a hybrid capacity, you will collaborate closely with operational teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring the company maintains its competitive edge through superior operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current operational workflows to identify inefficiencies, waste, and areas for improvement.
- Lead and implement Lean and Six Sigma projects to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Develop and optimize production processes, material handling, and facility layouts.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and quality assurance, to drive successful implementation of changes.
- Monitor operational performance, track key metrics, and report on progress towards improvement goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Operations Management, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in operations engineering, process improvement, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, and simulation tools.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to influence stakeholders and manage teams.
