Operations Excellence Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Operations Excellence Engineer to drive significant improvements across their operational landscape in Sunderland . You will lead projects focused on lean methodologies, process optimization, and waste reduction, working collaboratively with various departments. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate projects aimed at implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Analyze operational workflows, identify root causes of inefficiencies, and develop data-driven solutions.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices across all operational functions.
• Train and mentor staff on continuous improvement tools and techniques, fostering a culture of engagement.
• Measure and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency, cost reduction, and quality.
• Collaborate with management and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and sustainable change.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in operations, process improvement, or a similar engineering role.
• Demonstrated experience with Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt certification is a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and project management skills.
• Proven ability to drive change and achieve measurable results in a fast-paced environment.
