Operations Management Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Operations Management Consultant to join their established consultancy firm based in Milton Keynes . This role focuses on optimizing client operations, improving efficiency, and driving cost savings through process improvements and strategic planning. You will work closely with clients across various sectors to diagnose operational challenges, develop practical solutions, and oversee their implementation. This is an office-based position requiring regular client site visits within Buckinghamshire and the surrounding regions. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented professional passionate about operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze client operational processes, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for enhancement.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize resource allocation.
• Design and roll out new operational procedures and systems to meet client business objectives.
• Conduct detailed performance measurement and reporting for operational initiatives.
• Provide expert advice and recommendations on supply chain management, logistics, and production planning.
• Engage with client management teams to ensure buy-in and successful adoption of operational changes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in operations management or as an operations consultant .
• Proven experience in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent project management and client-facing communication abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• Must be willing to work full-time from our Milton Keynes office and travel to client sites as needed.
