Operations Manager - Event Venue

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and efficient Operations Manager to oversee the smooth running of their premier event venue in Nottingham . You will be responsible for managing all aspects of venue operations, including facilities, staffing, health and safety, and service delivery, ensuring that every event held at the venue is a resounding success. This role requires strong leadership skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a deep understanding of venue management best practices. You will play a key role in maintaining the venue's reputation for excellence and ensuring a safe, welcoming, and functional environment for clients and guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day venue operations, including facilities maintenance and resource allocation.
• Oversee staffing for events, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of operational teams.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and fire regulations, conducting regular risk assessments.
• Develop and implement operational procedures and policies to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Manage relationships with external suppliers and contractors.
• Coordinate with event organizers to ensure their operational needs are met seamlessly.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the events or hospitality industry.
• Proven experience in managing facilities, staff, and health & safety compliance.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent understanding of event production and venue operations.
• Proficiency in project management and relevant software.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Hospitality, or a related field is advantageous.
