About the Role

Our client, a leading player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee their operations in Leicester . This pivotal role involves managing the day-to-day activities of the production and logistics departments, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of products to market. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all production and warehouse operations to meet targets for volume, quality, and cost.
• Develop and implement strategic operational plans to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
• Oversee inventory management, supply chain logistics, and distribution networks to ensure seamless product flow.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of operational staff, including supervisors and line workers.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the operational sites.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and finance, to align operational activities with business objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an Operations Management role within the FMCG industry.
• Demonstrable success in managing production, logistics, and supply chain functions.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process optimization techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems and other relevant operational software.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
