About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and efficient Operations Manager to oversee their FMCG production and distribution facility in Stoke-on-Trent . You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and cost-effective running of all operational aspects, from procurement and manufacturing to warehousing and logistics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational management, with a focus on efficiency, quality control, and team leadership within a fast-paced production environment. This role is critical to maintaining high product quality and delivery standards, essential for success in the competitive FMCG market.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize all day-to-day operations within the Stoke-on-Trent facility, including production, warehousing, and logistics.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality in line with FMCG standards.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of operational staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures throughout the operational process.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, procurement, and finance, to ensure seamless integration and achievement of business goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an Operations Management role, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of production processes, supply chain management, and logistics.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and health & safety regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
