About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead their manufacturing operations in Bristol . This critical role will ensure the efficient and safe production of high-quality goods, optimize manufacturing processes, and manage the production team to meet demanding targets. You will be responsible for driving productivity, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and maintaining operational excellence within a dynamic production environment. This is a hands-on leadership role for a results-oriented professional passionate about manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and adherence to schedules.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and lower manufacturing costs.
- Manage and mentor the production team, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the manufacturing facility.
- Implement and manage lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee inventory management, raw material procurement, and finished goods dispatch.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations management , with a strong track record of success.
- Proven ability to manage production teams and drive operational efficiency in a manufacturing setting.
- Deep understanding of lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement processes.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
