Operations Manager (Oil & Gas)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Operations Manager to oversee their onshore operations in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, UK . This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of all production and operational activities within the Oil & Gas industry . You will lead a team of operational staff, manage budgets, and implement strategies to optimize production and maintain the highest standards of safety and environmental performance. This is a key leadership position within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of onshore oil and gas production operations.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve production targets and business objectives.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage operational budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Oversee maintenance planning and execution to ensure asset integrity and minimize downtime.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the operational team, fostering a culture of performance and safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in oil and gas operations management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale operational facilities and teams.
• Strong understanding of production processes, well operations, and facilities management.
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to HSE excellence and operational integrity within the Oil & Gas industry .
