Operations Manager - Special Projects

About the Role

Our client is searching for an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager with a focus on Special Projects to join their esteemed organisation in Edinburgh . This role is responsible for the planning, execution, and successful completion of complex and often high-profile projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be instrumental in driving operational excellence for these unique initiatives, working closely with various internal teams and external partners. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of diverse special projects, from scope definition to final delivery.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication throughout project lifecycles.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement timely solutions.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular, comprehensive project status updates.
• Ensure all projects align with company strategic objectives and operational standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Operations Manager or Senior Project Manager, specifically managing special projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
• Excellent planning, organisational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage complex budgets and resources effectively.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
