Operations Manager - Sports Facilities

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the smooth and efficient running of their key sports facilities in Edinburgh . This role is central to ensuring a high-quality experience for all users, managing budgets, staff, and the upkeep of all premises within the Leisure & Sports portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and customer service across all operational areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of multiple sports venues, ensuring optimal functionality and user satisfaction.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling costs and identifying areas for efficiency improvements.
• Lead, train, and supervise a team of facility staff, including supervisors and front-line personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the facilities.
• Oversee maintenance schedules, repairs, and capital improvement projects for all sports venues .
• Implement and monitor customer service standards to ensure a positive experience for all visitors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in operations management , preferably within the sports or leisure industry.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, staff, and complex facility operations.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to public facilities.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
