About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a premier Sports Facility in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all facility services, managing staff, maintaining high standards of customer service, and optimising operational processes. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about the sports and leisure industry, dedicated to providing an excellent experience for all users and contributing to the facility's success.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all operational staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Oversee facility maintenance, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment at all times.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability of facility operations.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.
• Implement health and safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the sports, leisure, or hospitality sector.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Strong understanding of facility management principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
• First Aid certification is desirable.
