About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee their manufacturing facilities located in Sunderland . This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the plant, managing production, logistics, and personnel to achieve operational targets. The successful candidate will drive process improvements, maintain high safety standards, and foster a culture of productivity and excellence. This is an on-site position, critical for the smooth functioning of our client's manufacturing operations in the Tyne and Wear region.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage daily operations of the manufacturing plant, including production, logistics, and warehouse functions.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation effectively.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the operations team to achieve departmental and company goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant experience (5+ years) in an operations management role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth understanding of production planning and supply chain management.
