About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Manager to oversee and optimize daily operations at their Newcastle upon Tyne facility. You will be responsible for ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to company standards across all operational departments. This role is critical in driving continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining a safe, high-performing work environment. You will work closely with department heads and staff to streamline processes, manage resources effectively, and contribute to the overall strategic goals of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage day-to-day operational activities, including resource allocation, workflow management, and staff supervision.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements within the operations.
- Implement and oversee quality control programs to maintain high service standards.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and finance, to ensure seamless business operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory operations role.
- Proven ability to manage complex operational processes and teams.
- Strong understanding of operational best practices, lean principles, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using operational management software and reporting tools.
