About the Role
Our client, a major force in the FMCG sector, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to lead their manufacturing and distribution operations in Wolverhampton . This critical role demands a strategic thinker with a strong focus on efficiency, quality, and safety. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations, ensuring that production targets are met, costs are controlled, and the highest standards of operational excellence are maintained, contributing to the company's reputation for reliability and quality in the fast-paced FMCG market.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize all aspects of the manufacturing and distribution operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production targets and demand forecasts for FMCG products .
- Oversee inventory management, logistics, and supply chain coordination to ensure timely delivery and minimize disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the operational facilities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operational staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management , preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing productivity.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and production planning software.
