Pallet Network Delivery Driver

About the Role

Our client requires a skilled and dependable Pallet Network Delivery Driver to operate from their Southampton depot. This role is vital for the efficient movement of palletized goods within a national network. You will be responsible for collecting and delivering palletized freight, ensuring accuracy in loading, securing, and completing all necessary documentation. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a professional attitude, and a strong understanding of logistics within the Hampshire region. This hybrid role requires a blend of operational presence and some remote administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver palletized goods to and from various customer locations and network hubs.
• Ensure all pallets are correctly loaded, secured, and accounted for using scanning equipment.
• Operate articulated vehicles (Class 1 or Class 2 depending on vehicle) safely and efficiently.
• Complete all delivery and collection notes accurately, including proof of delivery.
• Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding route progress and any issues encountered.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance needs promptly.

Requirements

• Valid UK driving license with appropriate HGV category (C or C+E).
• Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
• Experience in pallet network or general haulage driving is preferred.
• Good geographical knowledge of the Southampton and wider Hampshire area.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet delivery deadlines.
• A professional and customer-oriented approach to work.
