Pallet Network Driver - Class 2

About the Role

Our client seeks a skilled Class 2 Driver to join their operations within a busy pallet network based in Cambridge . You will be responsible for collecting and delivering palletized goods to various locations, ensuring efficient turnaround times and high levels of service. This role demands reliability, excellent driving conduct, and a practical understanding of logistics operations. You will play a key part in the smooth functioning of the network, supporting businesses across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 (LGV C) vehicle safely and efficiently for pallet collections and deliveries.
• Ensure all collected and delivered goods are handled correctly and scanned as per network procedures.
• Plan daily routes to maximize efficiency and meet allocated delivery windows.
• Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections, reporting any issues immediately.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and any discrepancies.
• Adhere strictly to all driving regulations, including working hours and tachograph compliance.

Requirements

• Valid UK Class 2 (LGV C) driving license.
• Up-to-date Driver CPC qualification and a valid digital tachograph card.
• Previous experience as a Class 2 driver, preferably within a pallet network.
• Good knowledge of the Cambridge area and surrounding counties.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• A professional attitude and a commitment to safety and customer service.
