A part-time role with a whole lot of flavour.

Enjoy practical work, like meeting people and curious about what goes into a great cup of coffee? This could be your kind of opportunity. We’re recruiting for a growing speciality coffee business with an international outlook and a start-up mentality. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on person to help keep its Acton warehouse running smoothly—and get involved in the wider business. You could be organising stock one day, helping prepare a coffee tasting for customers the next, and joining a supplier call with partners in Ethiopia to discover the journey behind the coffee.

You don’t need to arrive as a coffee expert or a qualified forklift driver. Bring reliability, initiative and a willingness to learn—training will be provided.

What you’ll be doing Around 70% of your role will involve practical warehouse duties, including:

Receiving deliveries, organising stock and preparing orders for dispatch. Loading, unloading and moving goods, including operating a counterbalance forklift once trained and authorised. Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting stock checks. Packing coffee products and samples, and keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe.Alongside this, you’ll have opportunities to:

Help organise and set up customer coffee tastings, known as “cupping” sessions. Learn about coffee sample preparation and support basic roasting activities. Welcome customers, help with order enquiries and support the sales team. Join regular supplier calls with Ethiopia and learn how the coffee is sourced. Contribute ideas and lend a hand across a small, ambitious team. What will make you a great fit? You’re someone who notices what needs doing and takes pride in doing it well. You’re comfortable getting stuck into practical tasks, but equally happy speaking with a customer or learning something new.

We’re looking for:

A reliable, proactive approach and a positive attitude. Confidence communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues. Good organisation, attention to detail and basic IT skills. The ability to carry out physical warehouse duties safely. The role includes handling 30kg coffee bags, using appropriate equipment, assistance and safe handling procedures. An interest in coffee and enthusiasm for learning about the business. Ideally, a full UK driving licence, although this is not essential. Previous warehouse or stock-handling experience would be helpful. Customer service, hospitality or barista experience would also be welcome.

An existing forklift qualification is welcome but isn’t essential—counterbalance forklift training will be provided.

Part-time now, with room to develop This is a 22.5-hour-per-week contract, offering an approximate annual salary of £18,591, based on a full-time equivalent salary of £31,000.

Your working pattern will be agreed as either:

Three days per week, 9am–5pm, or Four days per week, 10am–4pm.Unpaid breaks bring the contracted paid hours to 22.5 per week.

Whether you’re balancing another job, other commitments or simply want a shorter working week, this is an opportunity to do varied, meaningful work while developing new skills.

As the business grows, there may be scope for increased hours over the next 12 months. Any increase would be discussed with you and is not guaranteed.

In return, you’ll gain practical training, exposure to an international coffee business and the chance to make a visible contribution to a growing team.
