About the Role

Our client, a leading organisation in the Charity & Voluntary sector, is seeking a strategic and highly motivated Partnerships Director to join their team in Edinburgh . This senior role is responsible for developing and nurturing key relationships with corporate partners, foundations, and other strategic allies to drive sustainable income and amplify the charity's impact. You will play a critical role in identifying new partnership opportunities, negotiating agreements, and ensuring successful collaboration to achieve mutual goals. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead external relations and contribute significantly to the organisation's growth and mission success.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for corporate and strategic partnerships, focusing on increasing income and influence.
• Identify, cultivate, and secure new high-value partnerships with corporations, grant-making bodies, and other organisations.
• Manage and strengthen existing partner relationships through effective communication, stewardship, and collaborative initiatives.
• Negotiate partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with the charity's objectives and values.
• Represent the organisation at external events and build strong networks within the corporate and philanthropic sectors.
• Work closely with the fundraising and communications teams to develop compelling partnership proposals and reports.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in business development, partnerships, or corporate fundraising, ideally within the Charity & Voluntary sector.
• Demonstrated success in securing and managing high-level strategic partnerships.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of the corporate social responsibility landscape and philanthropic trends.
• Ability to think strategically and develop innovative approaches to partnership building.
• Experience in managing budgets and reporting on partnership performance.
